Dark Emissary

Since ages past the Truthsayers of Albion have been the guardians of the sacred orham stones which were constructed by the Old Ones.  They have passed down the teachings of the Old Ones from master to apprentice and ensured that the forces of Chaos have been contained.  Now however Kheciss, the foremost of the Truthsayers, has entered the ancient metal structure known as the Citadel of Lead.  He did not return for some time, and other Truthsayers also entered the Citadel to discover his fate.  When this group emerged, with Kheciss at their head, they came as emissaries of a new and terrible master.  Once tall and noble warrior-mages, these Dark Emissaries had been changed into hunched, twisted figures covered by robes and cowls.  When Kheciss proposed to the council of Truthsayers that they should obey the Dark Master and unleash the power locked in the Ogham stones the Trithsayers were outraged and banished the renegades from Albion.  The Dark Emissaries have not been idle in their exile.  They have stirred up dissent among the sentient races of the Warhammer World, promising power and riches to those willing to follow them in their reconquest of Albion.  If the Turshsayers and the forces of good which they have assembled cannot stop them, then who knows what terrible plans the Emissaries will enact on behalf of their Dark Master......

Dark Emissary Magic (1D6)

1 Elemental Power
The Emissary sucks the elemental power of Albion from the earth and uses it to invigorate himself and his minions.  If there are one or more fenbeasts on the board then one of them will immediately Regenerate1D6+2 wounds, up to its starting wounds value.  If there are no fenbeasts on the board then the Emissary will Regenerate 1D6+2 wounds, up to his starting wounds value.
2 Bolt of Dark Light
The Dark Emissary strikes one randomly selected warrior with a beam of dark energy.   The warrior suffers 1D6 hits which do 5 damage each and ignore all except magical armour.
3 Nightmare
The Dark Emissary creates terrifying illusions to deter the warriors.  All warriors on the same board section as the Emissary must take a fear test with a fear value equal to the dungeon level.  If they fail then they wil now fear all the monsters which are currently on the same board section as them.
4 Curse of the Dark Master
Invoking his dark master, the Emissary pronounces a curse on the warriors.  Until the start of the next monsters' phase all the warriors on the same board section as the Emissary are at -1 to hit, both for shooting and hand-to-hand attacks.
5 Fog of Death
The Emissary causes a dank fog to rise from the ground, causing confusion among the warriors as sinister screams can be heard through the mirk.  All the warriors on the same board section as the Emissary suffer 1D6 hits which each do 1D6+3 damage, modified as normal.  In addition, on a roll of 1-3 on a D6 then the spectral horrors which inhabit the fog turn on the monsters as well.  Each monster on this board section suffers D3 hits which each do 1D6+3 damage.
6 Coils of the Serpent
A wisp of smoke snakes out from the Emissary's hand and wends it way towards one of the warriors, twining itself around them and crushing them to death.  Randomly select one warrior.  That warrior suffers a number of wounds equal to 1D6x(the dungeon level), ignoring all except magical armour.

Spiral Markings

The Spiral is the emblem of the Dark Master, and is feared by all good-hearted creatures who see it.  The Dark Emissaries bear it as a symbol of their aleigance, either as a tattoo or as a device on their clothes.  The Sprial markings give the Dark Emissary Magic Resistance 5+ and Fear (the dungeon level).

Staff of Darkness

The Staff of Darkness is made from the wood of the twisted trees from the most desolate parts of Albion and is set with the teeth and spines of fearsome monsters.  The Staff has the mark of the Sprial carved into it and is the badge of the Dark Emissaries' sinister office. The Staff of Darkness is a magic weapon and allows the Dark Emissary to re-roll the dice on the sepll table when casting spells.
